Dennis Clausen

13849 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Devin Booker Won't Play Against OKC

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (groin) won't play on Wednesday versus Oklahoma City. The 29-year-old suffered a groin injury during the win over the Los Angeles Lakers on December 1 and is now in line to miss his third-straight contest. He was listed as questionable, meaning he could be nearing a return. For now, fantasy […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Back in Action Against Toronto

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) will play on Tuesday against Toronto. KAT wasn't available for Sunday's win over the Orlando Magic, marking his first absence of the 2025 campaign. Despite appearing on the injury report and carrying a questionable designation, he'll be back on the floor for the NBA Cup meeting. In Towns' […]

Jamal Shead Available on Tuesday, Entering the Starting Lineup

Toronto Raptors guard Jamal Shead (quadriceps) is available for Tuesday's game versus the Knicks. He was listed on the injury report because of a quad contusion. However, the 23-year-old is available. Not only that, he will start in place of Immanuel Quickley (illness), who won't suit up for this one. Shead has averaged 5.8 points, […]

Immanuel Quickley Ruled Out on Tuesday Night

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (illness) won't play in Tuesday's NBA Cup matchup versus the New York Knicks. He hasn't felt the best of late, although it didn't stop him from suiting up in Sunday's loss to the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, the illness will now cost the 26-year-old his first game of the 2025 campaign. […]

Paolo Banchero Remaining on a Minutes Limit Tuesday

According to Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley, forward Paolo Banchero will remain on a minutes limit in Tuesday's NBA Cup meeting with the Miami Heat. The 23-year-old recently returned from a 10-game absence caused by a groin injury. Since then, he's played twice, totaling 44 minutes. It's possible he could see over 25 minutes, […]

Paul George Available on Sunday Evening

Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite missing plenty of time throughout the 2025 campaign, the veteran will now suit up for his second-straight appearance. He's coming off his best showing of the year, amassing 20 points in Friday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. With […]

Joel Embiid Available Against Lakers

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Sunday versus the Lakers. He was questionable on Saturday's edition of the Injury Report after missing Friday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the 2023 MVP was upgraded to probable on Sunday afternoon, so fantasy managers had a feeling he'd be good to go. Embiid has […]

Lauri Markkanen Ruled Out Versus OKC

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (illness) won't play on Sunday versus Oklahoma City. The 28-year-old has had an excellent 2025 campaign, averaging 27.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. However, like some of the other big names around the National Basketball Association, he's not feeling well. With Markkanen out for the first time this season, […]

Jimmy Butler III Officially Active on Sunday Night

Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler III (knee) will return from a two-game absence for Sunday's game in Chicago. The Dubs are still without Stephen Curry (quadriceps) and Draymond Green (foot). While their absences mean that others will be more involved offensively, Butler could lead the way on the scoring end. With that said, he […]

LeBron James Available Versus Philadelphia

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) will play on Sunday against Philadelphia. He didn't suit up for Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics, which isn't surprising, considering the Lakers were playing back-to-back contests. With that said, James is definitely showing signs of slowing down, with the 40-year-old averaging 14.0 points, 4.3 boards, and 7.8 […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Ruled Out Against Orlando

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) won't play on Sunday against Orlando. Despite making sporadic appearances on the injury report, KAT hasn't missed a game. However, he experienced left calf tightness during the meeting with the Utah Jazz on Friday night, so the team will keep him out. Towns next chance to suit up […]

Draymond Green Remains on the Shelf Versus Chicago

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (foot) won't play on Sunday versus Chicago. He re-aggravated a right foot injury in Thursday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and didn't suit up for Saturday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The NBA Cup will allow him to get some extra rest, so fantasy managers will need to wait […]

Jimmy Butler III Expected to Return on Sunday

Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler III (knee) is probable for Sunday's contest in Chicago. The veteran has missed the last two games. While it seemed he would return for Saturday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was ultimately ruled out. With Draymond Green (foot) and Stephen Curry (quadriceps) sidelined, Butler could be in line […]

Immanuel Quickley Now Probable Versus Boston

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (illness) is now probable for Sunday's meeting with the Boston Celtics. He was listed as questionable because of an illness. Fortunately, it doesn't appear as if the 26-year-old will miss his first contest of the 2025 campaign. Quickley has played as well as expected this season, averaging 17.1 points, 4.4 […]

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Will Miss First Game of the Year on Sunday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (elbow) won't play on Sunday against Utah. It's unknown exactly when or how SGA injured his left elbow. However, it's at least serious enough to force him to miss his first game of the 2025 campaign. Gilgeous-Alexander is having another MVP-caliber year, averaging a career-high 32.8 points and 44.3% […]

Joel Embiid Upgraded to Probable Against Lakers

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) has been upgraded to probable ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 2023 MVP missed Friday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. While it appeared he was trending toward another absence, he was upgraded from questionable on Sunday afternoon. Of course, there's still a chance Embiid won't […]

Ja Morant Doubtful Against Portland

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (calf) is doubtful for Sunday's meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. He's missed the last nine games because of a right calf strain. Although the 26-year-old probably won't return on Sunday from the lengthy stint on the shelf, it appears he has a chance to get back on the floor […]

Robert Williams III Now Questionable Versus Memphis

Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (illness) is questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies. He just popped up on the injury report because of an illness. Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't be an issue. However, with Donovan Clingan (leg) not a lock to suit up after missing Friday's loss to the Detroit […]

Donovan Clingan Questionable Versus Grizzlies

Portland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (leg) is questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 2024 No. 7 overall pick suffered a left lower leg contusion during the matchup versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, keeping him off the floor for Friday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. Robert Williams III got the start in that […]

LaMelo Ball Won't Suit Up Against Denver

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't suit up on Sunday versus the Nuggets. He injured his left ankle in Friday's win over the Toronto Raptors. Luckily, Charlotte won't play again until Friday against the visiting Chicago Bulls, so he'll have some extra time to rest. With Collin Sexton (quadriceps) out as well, KJ Simpson, […]

Immanuel Quickley Questionable for Sunday Afternoon

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Boston Celtics. He has averaged 16.8 points during the 2025 campaign, down from last season (17.1). However, the 26-year-old has improved in several statistical areas, including rebounds (4.4), assists (6.3), and three-point shooting (39.1%). Quickley also hasn't missed a game after being […]

Klay Thompson Downgraded Versus Houston

Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Klay Thompson (knee) won't play in Saturday's intrastate meeting with the Rockets. This will only be his second absence of the 2025 campaign. However, the 35-year-old has averaged a career-low 11.0 points, so his absence won't mean much for fantasy managers. Still, without Thompson, it could at least mean more minutes for […]

Alperen Sengun Out Again on Saturday Evening

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (illness) won't play on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks. He'll now be sidelined for another contest after missing Friday's win over the Phoenix Suns because of an illness. Fortunately, the Rockets won't play again until Thursday versus the Los Angeles Clippers, so Sengun will have a few more days to […]

Tyler Herro Will Miss Another Game on Saturday

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (toe) won't play on Saturday versus the Kings. The 25-year-old began the season on the shelf due to foot and ankle injuries. Since returning, he appeared in five games, averaging 23.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and a career-high 48.4% shooting from behind the arc. Herro will now miss his […]

Jimmy Butler III Out Again on Saturday Night

Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler III (knee) won't play on Saturday against Cleveland, marking his second-straight absence. He was listed as questionable, meaning there's a chance he might be back on Sunday versus the Bulls, his former team. However, with Draymond Green (foot) and Stephen Curry (quadriceps) also sidelined, fantasy managers could see an […]

Draymond Green Ruled Out Versus Cleveland

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (foot) won't play on Saturday against Cleveland. He logged only nine minutes before exiting Thursday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers because of a right foot injury. Fantasy managers anticipated the 35-year-old would miss time. However, considering he was questionable, it appears the door is open for his return on […]

Evan McPherson a Top Fantasy Kicker for Week 14

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson got off to a slow start early in the 2025 campaign. However, he's been productive over the last month or so, and he finished the Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens by draining all six of his attempts, a career-high. The 26-year-old is back to being one of the […]

Chase Brown Remains in the Must-Start Conversation for Week 14

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown is coming off a strong showing, finishing with 15 attempts for 78 yards in the Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens. With Tee Higgins (concussion) sidelined for that one, Brown was more involved on the receiving end, catching all seven targets for 35 yards. Samaje Perine was more […]

Tee Higgins Looking for a Strong Showing After Missing Week 13

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (concussion) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Fortunately, he was a full participant in the following two sessions and doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's meeting with the Buffalo Bills. The wideout had been on a roll heading into the Week 12 loss to the Patriots, catching at […]

Ja'Marr Chase Looking to Keep Cincinnati on the Winning Path Versus Buffalo

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase didn't find the end zone in the win over the Ravens in Week 13. However, the wideout still finished with seven catches for 110 yards while being targeted 14 times. Tee Higgins (concussion) wasn't available for that one, so Chase had to pick up most of the slack in […]
