Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery have made his fantasy football owners a nervous wreck thus far this season. He missed time earlier in the season with an injury and now he is constantly missing practice and being listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
Jeffery missed practice on Friday with a shoulder and groin injury and his status is once again up in the air.
The Bears do have a tough matchup in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos, but the matchup wouldn’t necessarily downgrade a healthy Jeffery who is targeted early and often by quarterback Jay Cutler. If Jeffery plays, I would consider him a lowend WR2.

In the five games that Jeffery has played in this season he has hauled in 36 footballs for 515 yards and two touchdowns.
Jeffery is one of the best young receivers in the game, but he must stay healthy if he wants to become household name.
Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Devin Funchess could put up great numbers on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. With teammate Corey Brown not expected to play with a shoulder injury, quarterback Cam Newton will have to look Funchess’ way quite often.
Funchess is a huge target, but he has struggled with the same thing most rookies struggle with – consistency.
Through nine games Funchess only has 12 receptions for 202 yards and one touchdown. However, he has been seeing more playing time as the season has progressed.
I would consider the rookie a low-end WR3 in Week 11. But dynasty owners should love having Funchess on their rosters. When Kelvin Benjamin is healthy next season, Funchess could really begin to shine, especially in short yardage situations.
In other news, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy claims running back Eddie Lacy is bouncing back and has had “one of his better practices” this week.
That’s good news because Lacy has been doing his best Trent Richardson impersonation thus far this season. Through eight games he has 308 yards on 83 carries and two touchdowns. He’s averaging 3.7 yards per carry. He also has 10 receptions for 92 yards.
I don’t expect Lacy to split carries with James Starks in Week 11 when the Packers face the Minnesota Vikings. I think the Packers coaching staff has made it clear that Starks is the starter and will get the bulk of the workload.
I consider Lacy a low-end RB3 at best in Week 11.
