Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar extended his point streak to 11 games in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Calgary, bagging his 42nd assist of the season on a Nazem Kadri goal in the second period. Makar's streak is the second-longest by a defenseman in Avalanche history. Steve Duchesne holds the record with a 15-game point streak from 1992-93. Makar also currently boasts an 11-game assists streak, which is the fifth-longest in NHL history. The 23-year-old has recorded a total of 16 points during his run, and he's now notched 60 points this term, becoming the fourth defenseman in Colorado's history to record a 60-point season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
