DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks: (12/1/21)

Jimmy Butler - NBA dfs lineup picks, daily fantasy basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on December 1, 2021. Alex Burns provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

After a sizzling five games on Tuesday, the NBA doesn't miss a beat with a total of nine games in store for Wednesday's slate. Whether you cashed out the night prior or had some misses, the beauty of this game is that there is always an opportunity for redemption. With that said, let's take a closer look at the game totals for Wednesday to see which games are worth attacking from a DFS perspective.

  • ATL @ IND O/U 218.5
  • DEN @ ORL O/U 209
  • MIN @ WAS O/U 216
  • CLE @ MIA O/U 205.5
  • PHI @ BOS O/U 206.5
  • CHA @ MIL O/U 230
  • DAL @ NOP O/U 215
  • HOU @ OKC O/U 212
  • SAC @ LAC O/U 216

With 12-of-18 teams taking the floor sporting a .500% record or better, we're certainly in for an exciting night of hoops. The first game that jumps out to me is the CHA/MIL matchup. This game has the highest O/U on the slate at 230 and features two teams ranked inside the top-10 in PACE rating. Both squads also rank inside the top-10 in points per game, so this has the looks of a surefire shootout. The ATL/IND matchup should have some intriguing value plays with some members of the Pacers entering the league's health and safety protocols. Continue reading to see who I see stepping up on Wednesday!

With all that said, let's dive into my favorite plays for Wednesday's slate. This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/1/21. You can also check out today's FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

DraftKings Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - PG, DAL @ NOP ($11,600)

Doncic is the third-priciest option on DraftKings but it's hard to pass him up against the Pelicans. For starters, New Orleans has given up the sixth-most DK points to opposing point guards this season, making this a plus matchup. There's also a very real chance that Kristaps Porzingis is held out after suffering an ankle injury in Monday's loss. That would only open the door for Luka to see monster usage against a lowly Pelicans' squad. Bottom line, finding a stud to build around is key and Doncic certainly fits the bill on Wednesday.

D'Angelo Russell - PG, MIN @ WAS ($8,400)

It's fair to say DLo has been nothing short of spectacular from a fantasy perspective over the last two games. He's averaging 56 DK points during that span and has been dialed in offensively. His stock could rise even higher if Anthony Edwards is forced to sit as he's battling flu-like symptoms. For what it's worth, Russell is seeing a 30.7% usage rate in 155 total minutes without Edwards on the floor. Stay tuned for the injury report, as Jaden McDaniels and Jarred Vanderbilt have each missed games with an illness, so there's clearly a bug making its way through the locker room.

Terry Rozier - PG/SG, CHA @ MIL ($7,200)

Rozier has been on one as of late, dropping 31 points in back-to-back games and scoring at least 27 points in four of his last five. As mentioned above, the O/U of 230 forecasts this game to have plenty of points, so taking advantage of Rozier's recent play in a pace-up game feels right. It's worth noting that although the Bucks have been stout against opposing guards, they will have their hands full trying to slow down LaMelo Ball. This only leaves more room for Scary Terry to work his magic.

Chris Duarte - SG, IND vs. ATL ($4,000)

Duarte has certainly cooled off after a strong start to the year but should benefit from increased opportunity on Wednesday. Fellow teammate Justin Holiday has entered the league's health and safety protocols and will miss the next few games, opening the door for more minutes and more shots from Duarte. He's averaging just under 1.0 DK points per minute without Holiday in the lineup and gets a Hawks team who has been middle of the pack against opposing guards.

Others to consider: Caris LeVert ($5,400), Cole Anthony ($7,900), Kevin Porter Jr. ($7,400), T.J. McConnell ($4,400)

DraftKings Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Domantas Sabonis - PF/C, vs. ATL ($9,400)

So how exactly did Sabonis fare without Myles Turner in the lineup on Monday? He dropped a cool 16 points, 25 rebounds, 10 assists, and nearly 67 DK points in 36 minutes. Turner is still feeling under the weather and is listed as questionable to play on Wednesday, so we could be in line for another monster night from Sabonis.

Maxi Kleber - PF/C, @ NOP ($4,300)

Kleber has averaged over 26 DK points over his last three games and should see increased opportunities if Kristaps Porzingis is forced to miss this game after suffering a sprained ankle late in the second half Monday. The Pelicans have been far from impressive defending opposing forwards and Kleber's cheap price tag allows for flexibility in your lineup.

PJ Washington - PF/C, CHA @ MIL ($5,100)

Washington has been tasked with a larger role due to Mason Plumlee's injury and has been impressive. He's seen at least 30 minutes of playing time in back-to-back games and is averaging 15 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2 blocks/steals, and just under 30 DK points in his last three games. His value isn't tied to whether or not he starts and he should still see a large role even if the Hornets decide to trot out Nick Richards in the starting lineup again. Take advantage of this value in what should be a crazy fast, high-scoring affair.

Evan Mobley - PF/C, CLE @ MIA ($6,500)

Mobley made his return Monday after missing multiple games with a sprained elbow and was somewhat quiet per his standards. As a result, he's seen his price tag drop below $7,000 for the first time since November 1st. While the Heat has been tough defensively, they could be without their anchor, Jimmy Butler, and have been extremely weak on the glass as of late. With Jarrett Allen garnering a ton of attention from Bam Adebayo, don't be surprised to see Mobley feast against Miami on Wednesday.

Others to consider: Bobby Portis ($6,800), Pat Connaughton ($5,000), Isaac Okoro ($4,100), Max Strus ($4,000)

DraftKings Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jonas Valanciunas - C, NOP vs. DAL ($9,200)

Jonas is coming off a career night against the Clippers on Monday and is gifted a beautiful matchup against the Mavericks, who could very well be without Kristaps Porzingis for this one. They've surrendered the most DK points to opposing big men this season will likely trot out Moses Brown or Maxi Kleber against Valanciunas on Wednesday. Take advantage of stellar play in a plus matchup.

Richaun Holmes - C, SAC @ LAC ($5,800)

Holmes hasn't played in over a week but returned to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Lakers. Since pricing came out before Tuesday's game, Holmes' price is locked in at a laughably low $5,800, which is the lowest he's had since the second game of the season. He's averaging greater than 30 DK points per game this season and won't be priced this low for long. Take advantage!

Daniel Gafford - C, WAS vs. MIN ($4,800)

Gafford has finally been heating up over the last three games, posting at least 31 DK points during that span. To make things better, he's set to square off against the Timberwolves, who have given up the 7th-most DK points to opposing centers this season. If he can stay out of foul trouble, he's easily hitting 5X value in this one.

Others to consider: Willy Hernangomez ($4,200), Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,500), Christian Wood ($8,900)
