Washington Capitals winger Anthony Mantha underwent shoulder surgery on Friday and will be out indefinitely. The 27-year-old was injured in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss against Florida. He took his points tally up to six with an assist in the contest. It's another bitter blow for the Capitals, who have started the season without Nicklas Backstrom (hip) and lost T.J. Oshie (lower body) last week. That's half of the top six gone now and head coach Peter Laviolette certainly has to get creative with his lines. Injuries had already lifted Lars Eller and Daniel Sprong to the second line on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
