Carter Verhaeghe got rewarded for a breakout season on Wednesday when he signed a three-year extension for $4.167 million AAV. He was one of the feel-good stories on the season as he racked up 14 goals and 36 points in 43 games last year. Verhaeghe was able to play alongside Aleksander Barkov and not miss a beat. The forward did not see as much time on Florida's top power-play unit. However, with the new extension, Verhaeghe may see an expanded opportunity. His deal includes a $500,000 signing bonus in year one and year two. Expect the forward to continue to see even more ice time in 2021-22 but have a much higher ADP in fantasy leagues come September. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
