Paul Sewald Strikes Out Four Batters In First Save
Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald picked up his first save of the year Thursday afternoon, recording all four of his outs via strikeout around a hit and a walk. He likely only received this opportunity because Kendall Graveman pitched 1 2/3 innings on Wednesday, but nonetheless Sewald could be in line for the occasional save chance going forward. He's been excellent all season, recording a 1.66 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 38 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings. Even the most desperate fantasy managers should leave Sewald on the wire for now, at least until he gets more save chances.
