New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren inked a new three-year, $9 million ($3 million average annual value) contract to remain in the Big Apple. The 23-year-old, who was set to become a restricted free agent this summer, spent most of the 2020-2021 campaign on the Rangers' top defensive pair alongside Adam Fox. Lindgren is not yet popular in fantasy circles due to his limited offensive ability (16 points in 51 games this season) but provides great value as a stay-at-home rearguard for the Rangers. With a plus-20 rating, 35 penalty minutes, 98 hits and 50 blocks on the season, Lindgren's decent peripheral output could make him a sleeper in deep fantasy formats in 2021-2022.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
