Denny Hamlin excelled on short runs all day and was in the lead on the restart with ten laps to go. Then, it happened again. Hamlin was passed this time by Alex Bowman and Bowman pulled away to win. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver settled for second place. Hamlin accumulated the most Cup Series points again (55 this time) but did not get the win.
