DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 2/4/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy EuroLeague basketball plays and sleepers for 1/29/21. His EuroLeague DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

Round 24 of the EuroLeague season kicks off on Thursday with eight of the 18 teams in action. Well, we were supposed to have eight teams in action. Newly imposed travel restrictions enacted by the Israeli government have prevented the Moscow Khimki team from traveling to Tel Aviv. Red Star and Zalgiris has also been postponed due to COVID restrictions. So now we have just two games going.

We still have a few injuries to keep an eye on here. Shane Larkin went down just three minutes into the domestic league game over the weekend with a groin injury. He may not be available for Efes against first-place Barcelona. At any rate, I'm not paying the premium for Larkin if he may not be at full speed. I'm off of him even if he does play. The absences of Nikola Milutinov for CKSA opens up a few values on this slate. Will we even need it? Let's dive in!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/4/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Mike James, CSKA ($12,500)

Every other guard in five figures is either limited, COVIDed, or has a bad matchup. In truth, I'm not that high on James either. He only put up 29.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Valencia. However, that was early on in the season when James was struggling. He has been better of late, so there's hope that he can flirt with 40 here. We'll need him to at this price.

Vasilije Micic, Efes ($10,500)

The tough matchups mean less when we only have four teams to build lineups with. Micic put up a strong 30.25 DraftKings points in the first game against Barcelona, but he has had serious consistency issues in 2021. The floor is a lot lower than we want from this price range, and if Larkin does wind up playing, I wont use Micic anyway. I would consider using Larkin, but there are enough places that I would rather pay up at forward than to mess with this situation. Actually, if Larkin plays, I'll just revert to old reliable: Nick Calathes. If Larkin is out, Micic will have enough chances to pay off this price. If you still don't trust Micic, Krunoslav Simon is a solid option as well.

Martin Hermannsson, Valencia ($6,700)

I'm a sucker for Sam Van Rossom, but Hermannsson has outproduced him in nearly every game for the last month and he's still $200 cheaper. The issue with Hermannsson is that there isn't much for upside. Valencia will often run five guards in the course of the game and usually go with whomever has the hot hand. Of late that has been Hermannsson, but that distinction could be fleeting if he goes cold. If Guillem Vives or Joan Sastre return, I'll look elsewhere for value. Truth be told, there isn't much in the value tier for guards on this slate.

Also consider: Nick Calathes, Barcelona ($10,300); Klemen Prepelic, Valencia ($8,200); Sam van Rossom, Valencia ($6,900)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Nikola Mirotic, Barcelona ($10,800)

The fact that Barcelona is still in first despite Mirotic missing a month means this is a really scary team. Mirotic has been back for three games now, but he has not played 25 minutes in a game yet. Mirotic was playing upwards of 30 minutes per game before missing a month. He has yet to get back to that kind of playing time yet, but coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said that Mirotic should be back to his normal minutes load here. If that holds true, Mirotic could wind up being a solid bargain in the upper tier. That rarely happens in the EuroLeague.

Johannes Voigtmann, CSKA ($5,900)

Both Milutinov and Tornike Shengelia are out for CSKA. Will Clyburn still has a questionable tag, but he was reportedly a game time decision last week. The fact remains that Clyburn still hasn't played since Christmas and the EuroLeague has a penchant for easing guys back. This moves Voigtmann way up the list. He was one of my favorite cheap targets anyway. Now Voigtmann is the premier healthy body up front for CSKA. This also gives Mike James a huge boost, but it's still easy to run James, Voigtmann, and Joel Bolomboy for a mini CSKA stack.

Rolands Smits, Barcelona ($6,200)

No, he's not related to the Dunking Dutchman who spent his entire career with the Indiana Pacers. Roland isn't over seven feet tall and he only plays about half the game. However, Smits has been a consistent producer in the minutes allotted to him by Barcelona. His role has decreased some with the return of Mirotic, but Smits is still putting up double digit DraftKings points every day. The cash line is going to be very low on this slate. 2.5x value will likely put you in the money here. Smits is guaranteed value on a slate where not much is guaranteed.

Also consider: Mike Tobey, Valencia ($8,100); Louis Labeyrie, Valencia ($7,200); Joel Bolomboy, CKSA ($4,600)
