Center Derek Stepan was traded from the Arizona Coyotes to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a 2021 second-round pick on Saturday evening. The 30-year-old, who spent three full seasons in Arizona, will provide veteran guidance and should fill a top-nine forward role on his new team. With one year remaining on a five-year, $39 million contract ($6.5 mil AAV), Stepan is only owed $2 million over the 2020-2021 season. With his best offensive days likely behind him (recorded just 28 points in 70 games last season), the Minnesota Native only carries fantasy streaming value at this point. However, with an expected uptick in minutes playing on a rebuilding Senators squad, Stepan could be a center to monitor as the season progresses.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
