Anthony Rendon Has Cooled Off At The Plate
Anthony Rendon will look to shake out of his September slump when the team hosts the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Rendon is slashing only .245/.373/.469 this month and is hitting .214 over his last 56 at-bats. He has not homered since September 6 and has only two extra-base hits over his last 29 at-bats. Rendon can still finish the season strong and will have a strong chance to get rolling at Angel Stadium. Through 25 home games this season, Rendon is posting a 1.063 OPS with 15 extra-base hits and 21 runs batted in. The veteran will also face Diamondbacks left-handed starter Alex Young Thursday and Rendon is slugging .540 against left-handers this season. This matchup could be the beginning of a hot streak offensively for Rendon.
