FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (9/15/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on September 15, 2020. Euan Leith provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

After only watching one game on Saturday and Sunday, and then zero games last night, we are finally treated to two games in one day. Unfortunately, it will be for the final time in this weird and wacky NBA season. The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers will battle it out in a Game 7 for the opportunity to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Denver is looking to come back from their second 3-1 deficit this postseason and spoil the all-LA fight for the West. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will start what will surely be an Eastern Conference Finals for the ages. Both teams have excellent coaches, and the game of chess between Brad Stevens and Erik Spoelstra will almost be as fun to watch as Jayson Tatum, and Jimmy Butler go head to head.

The two-game slate gives us quite a few options to choose between tonight. The pricing seems fair, and fantasy players can go with a well-rounded approach or the stars and scrubs strategy. I will highlight some of the stars that have a chance for massive production, but also the lower-priced players that could prove to be the difference between a win and a loss in your daily contests on Tuesday.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/15/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @EuanOrYouOut. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Goran Dragic, PG - MIA vs. BOS ($7,000)

Goran Dragic has had quite the NBA career and now finds himself in the Eastern Conference Finals. He fits in perfectly with this Miami team, and the results have shined through in the postseason. The point guard has scored at least 20 points in six of the Heat's nine games this postseason while giving considerable contributions in other categories. During the 2020 playoffs, Dragic is averaging 35.2 fantasy points per game on FanDuel, and another performance like that in game one versus Boston will see him return five times his value and make a lot of fantasy managers pleased to have him in their lineups.

Gary Harris, SG - DEN vs. LAC ($5,700)

Gary Harris missed most of the NBA restart because of a hip injury. However, after taking a few games to find his stride this postseason, it looks like he has finally found what makes him such an essential piece for this Nuggets team. Harris has scored at least 10 points in four of his last five games and is picking it up on the defensive side of the ball at the same time. The shooting guard is averaging two steals per game in the series, and it's making him a viable asset in daily formats. Harris has hit the golden fives times return on value plateau three times in his last four outings, including a seven times return on value in game three. He is a solid play at shooting guard if you need the roster flexibility to fit in the high-priced studs tonight.

Lou Williams, PG - LAC vs. DEN ($5,500)

Lou Williams has struggled in this series versus the Nuggets, but his recent form makes him a contrarian play to target in Tuesday's contests. Williams is only averaging 10.5 points per game on 36.8 percent shooting, but he is always a threat to go off in any game. He's scored at least 23 points in 22 games this year, and that type of production in a bench role in invaluable to fantasy managers. Williams will take a back seat to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George offensively, but if one of them doesn't show up tonight, the Clippers will be relying on Williams to pick up the slack. The guard has three 30-point outings in his previous two postseasons, so he could provide the spark his team needs to advance to the next round.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jayson Tatum, PF - BOS vs. MIA ($9,800)

Jayson Tatum was a trendy pick to leap to stardom in his third year, but I'm not sure anyone expected him to make this big of a leap. After averaging 14.8 points during his rookie and sophomore campaigns, Tatum jumped to 23.4 points per game in year three, and he's taken it a step further during the playoffs. The forward is up to 25.3 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting to go along with 10.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. He has broken the 50-point fantasy barrier five times this postseason, including his last two games, where he averaged 61.1 FPPG to send Boston to the Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum is one of the studs I am looking to pair with Nikola Jokic to win some contests tonight.

Jae Crowder, SF - MIA vs. BOS ($5,100)

Jae Crowder has been a lock in my cash games lineups the entire playoffs, and in a two-game slate, I am willing to have him in any format tonight. On FanDuel, Crowder has returned five times his value in seven of his nine playoff games this postseason and has eclipsed six times his amount in four games. Statistically, the small forward is averaging 12.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and one combined steal plus block per game, while also sinking 3.3 three-pointers per game. This Celtics defense is no joke, but Crowder won't be a primary focus considering the Heat's other offensive options and should still be able to get his stats tonight.

Marcus Morris, PF - LAC vs. DEN ($5,100)

Morris has been up and down during this seven-game series against Denver but has shown that he can quickly return value to his fantasy managers. The forward has produced at least 20 fantasy points in eight of his 12 games this postseason and has reached the 30-point mark three times. Morris is averaging 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers, and 1.8 assists per game. I know those aren't the best stats you can find on today's slate, but you also can't have a lineup of superstar players. Morris is a piece that can slide into your team and give you a solid return while you shoot for the stars with other risk-reward targets.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic, C - DEN vs. LAC ($10,200)

It's hard not to love Nikola Jokic in tonight's game. The Serbian is averaging 54.2 FPPG over the last five games in this series and has a track record of thriving in game sevens throughout his young career. The Nuggets are playing in their fourth game seven in the last two postseasons, so the bright lights will not faze the 25-year-old. In his three previous game sevens, Jokic has averaged 26.7 points, 14 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game. If Jokic can replicate that production tonight, the Nuggets will have a great shot at advancing to the Western Conference Finals.
