In what should come as no surprise, the Edmonton Oilers will start goaltender Mikko Koskinen in Game 2 of the club’s best-of-five series with the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. The Oilers were thumped in Game 1 by a score of 6-4 and veteran goalie Mike Smith was yanked after allowing five goals on 23 shots. Koskinen finished the first game and allowed just one goal on 19 shots. Edmonton chose Smith to start Game 1 due to his extensive playoff experience while Koskinen had never appeared in a playoff game. However, the latter player had been the more consistent goalie in the regular season (Koskinen: 2.75 GAA, .917 SV% vs Smith: 2.95 GAA, .902 SV%). --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
