KBO DFS Lineup Picks for 7/24/20 - DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball

Jorge Pucks KBO DFS lineup picks for contests on DraftKings on 6/23/20. Daily fantasy baseball analysis for pitchers, hitters, and DFS stacks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another KBO DFS column. If you haven't signed up for the RotoBaller Premium Slack chat, it's a great space to chat during the day about the lineups. You can also follow me and the other Rotoballer writers on Twitter. In particular, @efhatch1990dfs has his personal KBO DFS Cheat Sheets which you will now be able to find on RotoBaller.

New to KBO? Don't worry, we got you covered! DraftKings and FanDuel will use the same scoring system that they do for MLB, however, the roster builds are much different on FanDuel. You must roster two infielders, two outfielders, and two utility players along with a pitcher for a total of only seven players on FanDuel.  DraftKings has kept its normal MLB structure with two starting pitchers and an entire eight-hitter lineup for a total of ten players.

Today, I'll be providing my KBO DFS lineup picks and analysis for this five-game slate on DraftKings that locks at 5:30 AM on Friday July 24, 2020. You can check our daily KBO Betting Picks as well, which Steve usually posts around 8 PM.

  • LG Twins (+130) @ Doosan Bears (-175)
  • Samsung Lions (+155) @ KIA Tigers (-200)
  • SK Wyverns (-170) @ Hanwha Eagles (+130)
  • NC Dinos (-160) @ KT Wiz (+120)
  • Lotte Giants (+160) @ Kiwoom Heroes (-215)

*NOTE: We have seen several rain outs over the past few days with the possibility that this slate could feature some games that are affected by rain so proceed with caution!

KBO DFS Pitchers

Mike Wright ($8,700)

Wright is the second-highest pitcher on this slate but has one of the better overall matchups on the slate. He is 6-2 on the season with a 3.84 ERA and has faced off against KTW three times this season. In those games, he pitched a total of 17 innings with 12 strikeouts and only 4 runs allowed.

Even though he is a better pitcher when pitching at home, the matchup is too good to pass up on. As a team, KTW has a batting average of .238 against him this season and Wright has a 14.6 DK average against them. This seems to be a great spot for both cash game and tournament lineups.

Won Tae Choi ($8,300)

Choi could be more of a tournament target on this slate. He is pitching in the only game that looks like it will not be affected by rain in some capacity so that alone makes him an intriguing play. Factoring in that he is playing at home and the matchup, he could have some upside.

Choi is 3-1 at home with a 3.19 ERA and has thrown 12.2 innings against LOTTE this season while posting a 2.84 ERA and 8 total strikeouts. The downside of Choi is that he has posted two bad outings in a row so his recent form has been great but on the flip side, that could drive down his ownership a bit which makes him more of a viable tournament play.

Other Pitchers to consider: Chase Heung Choi ($7,700), Shi Hwan Jang ($7,400)

KBO DFS Offenses/ Team Stacks

NC Dinos- The Dinos are riding a four-game win streak and draw a matchup against a familiar face in Odrisamer Dispaigne. Dispaigne has pitched against them three times this year and has gone 0-2 with an 8.62 ERA in 15.2 innings pitched. While he has struck out 14 batters in those 15.2 innings pitched, he has allowed 2 home runs and 15 total runs so they have found ways to get to him. A few Dino players to consider are:

  • Aaron Altherr ($5,400)- OF
  • Sung Bum Na ($5,000)- OF
  • Jin Sung Kang ($4,000)- 1B/ OF
  • Tae Goon Kim ($2,300)- Catcher

Kiwoom Heroes - Kiwoom has been slumping as of late as they have won 3 of their last 10 games played but gets a great bounce-back spot against Jun Won Seo. Seo is 4-3 on the season with a 4.82 ERA but has allowed 15 runs over the last 18 innings pitched so he hasn’t shown the best form lately.  While Seo has pitched well against Kiwoom this year, his most recent outings are hard to ignore. A few Kiwoom players to target are:

  • Ha Seong Kim ($6,100)- SS
  • Hung Hoo Lee ($5,100)- OF
  • Keon Chang Seo ($4,800)- 2B
  • Byungho Park ($4,600)- 1B
  • Ji Young Lee ($3,000)- Catcher

Doosan Bears- Doosan has been riding hot as winners of 7 out of their last 10 games played so it’s tough to not look their way. They square off against Woo Chan Cha who enters this game with a record of 5-5 with a 5.37 ERA. Cha has gone 1-2 against Doosan this year with an ERA of 11.57 in 11.2 innings pitched. The Bears have one of the best offenses in the league and could be chalky but for good reason. Several Bears players to target are:

  • Jose Fernandez ($5,700)- 1B
  • Jae Hwan Kim ($4,900)- 1B/OF
  • Joo Hwan Choi ($3,700)- 1B/2B
  • Kyoung Min Hur ($4,400)- 3B
  • Soo Bin Jung ($2,600)- OF

Good luck in your DFS contests everyone. Be sure to stop back every day for some more KBO DFS analysis here at RotoBaller!
