Atlanta Falcons defensive end Takkarist McKinley announced on Twitter that the team declined his fifth-year option on Wednesday. Head coach Dan Quinn had said back in February that the Falcons wouldn't be picking up McKinley's fifth-year option. The 26th overall pick in 2017, McKinley hasn't lived up to expectations and is coming off shoulder surgery that limited him to just 3.5 sacks in 13 games in 2019. He'll be in the final year of his rookie deal in 2020 and will have a salary cap hit of $3.25 million. If McKinley doesn't bounce back this year, he'll likely be playing for another team in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
