Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (4/22/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings, FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 4/22/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome back RotoBallers to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible. I hope you caught my article for yesterday morning's slate as I had myself a really big day on DraftKings with all of my top plays performing really well. 

We have a monster six-game slate that is apart of the ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe qualifier. This is my first time researching this qualifier and we continue to see DraftKings hunt down some different leagues in an attempt to keep posting CS:GO slates every day. Some of these teams will be familiar to you from earlier slates this month, while others still may not be yet.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis and picks for eSports DFS contests on both DraftKings and FanDuel for Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @rdr1634 as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

Felps is one of the stronger overall plays on this slate. He is the second-highest priced player on DraftKings at $9,600 and only $9,900 on FanDuel which is very cheap. He has been playing extremely well since the start of 2020 and should continue his hot play into this matchup.

He has a 1.34 K/D ratio over the last four months while accumulating .92 kills per round which is insanely high! He has played RedCandids three times and in those three maps, he has generated a 1.28 K/D ratio while going +21. There’s a lot of upside to using Felps regardless of his high price tag on this slate. 

ZywOo is one of the safest plays with actual upside on this slate. He has a career 1.39 K/D ratio and averages .87 kills per round while producing only a .62 death per round rate. Over the last four months, ZywOo has had a 1.19 K/D ratio and note, this is against some of the top teams in the world!

Over the same timeframe, he has had a 1+ rating in 79.3% of maps played which shows how consistent he is with his performance. He is the highest-priced player on FanDuel but is the fourth-highest player on DraftKings so he is more of a value on that site.

Brehze is a very solid pick for the captain role and he will likely be one of the more popular picks on the slate. He has a career K/D ratio of 1.16 while also producing a career 52% headshot percentage. Over the last four months, his K/D ratio has been very close to his career average as he has had a 1.15 rate in over 37 maps played.

Brehze averages 68 DraftKings points per game and he is the highest priced DraftKings player at 10k while he is a value steal over on FanDuel where he is $10,400. He is more of a cash game play on DraftKings but could plug him in both cash games and tournaments on FanDuel due to his price.

 

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

Shz is one of the cheapest players on the slate on both sites so he stands out as an extreme value play. On DraftKings, he is $5,200 while he is $9,300 on FanDuel so both sides he provides you with a good chunk of salary relief. Since the start of 2020, he has a 1.15 K/D ratio while racking up .69 kills per round.

He has a strong headshot percentage of 51.7% which basically matches his career percentage of 51.1%. While this is a relatively large slate, plugging him into your lineup gets you exposure to one of the bigger favorites on the slate while also getting a good quality player at a reduced price. Shz is a candidate for both cash and tournament lineups.

Yel is another mispriced Boom player that deserves some attention in the value range. He is $6,400 on DraftKings and $9,600 on FanDuel so he is very easy to squeeze into your lineups. He has a 1.29 K/D ratio over his last 11 maps and has a 1.08 K/D ratio over his last 39 maps played.

He has a lower Kill per round rate of .64 but also carries a very low death per round rate of .59 which is extremely good. Yel looks to be a better cash-game play but can still be viable in tournaments if he fits into your roster construction.

delboNi is more of a value play on DraftKings than he is on FanDuel. He is $5,400 on DraftKings where he is a bargain, while on FanDuel, he is above 10k which takes him out of the value category. With that much of a price discrepancy, you should make him a DraftKings value play only. Over the last four months, he has a 1.08 K/D ratio and carries a .70 kill per round rate. 

Autimatic is shockingly cheap on both sites respectively and is a great way to get a piece of Gen. G. He is averaging 48.7 DraftKings points per game and is carrying a 1.14 K/D ratio over the last four months. He has a .70 kills per round rating while keeping his deaths per round rate down to .61. Since joining Gen.G in December of 2019, Autimatic has had a 1+ rating in 68.5% of maps so he is one of the safer value plays on this slate.

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks 

Boom is one of the bigger favorites on this slate and is worthy of stacking consideration. They have won four out of their last five games and also come into this matchup being ranked better than the Red Candids (#62 vs. #74).

Boom is carrying a team K/D ratio of 1.17 since the beginning of 2020 while Red Candids have a team K/D rate of 1.11 over the same timeframe. The Red Candids have a few strong players in Iatto, DeStiNy, and nython. All three of them have above a 1.10 K/ D ratio for this year so they’re a very tough trio to deal with. 

Boom is fortunate to have all five of its players above a 1 K/D rate over the last four months and they are all viable on this slate. Felps is the first person to glance at from a stacking perspective. He has been on fire and is tough to leave off of a Boom stack.

Chelo is a strong stack pairing as he carries a 1.32 K/D ratio over his last 11 maps and is the highest priced Boom player on FanDuel while he is the second-highest priced player on DraftKings. Shz and yel both offer salary relief from this Boom team and make great stack pairings and one-offs on both sites while boltz could go overlooked since he is in the mid-tier of pricing on both sites. 

Cloud9 is the largest favorite on this slate and it is hard to argue against it. They have won four of their last five matches and are currently ranked #25 in the world while Triumph comes in winning three of their last five matches and ranked #42 in the world.

Cloud9 is coming off of a 1st place finish in the DreamHack Masters' Spring NA closed qualifier where Triumph ended up finishing tied for 5th place so that tells us Cloud9 is in very good form as of right now.  Triumph has a very good player in Grim as he has a .86 kill per round rating over the past three months so if Cloud9 is able to limit his upside, this should be another easy day at the office for C9.

Floppy and oSee are the two main candidates to look at if stacking C9. Over the last three months, they have both had a K/D ratio above 1.05 with them facing really tough opponents. Over the last month, they both had K/D ratios above 1.10 so they stand out to be a good pairing on this slate. Motm is a good tournament play since he is in the mid 7k range on DraftKings and mid 9k range on FanDuel.

Imperial is a new team that we have yet to see be apart of one of these main slates. They are winners of their last five games and are ranked #82 in the world. Isurus is the bookmaker favorite in this matchup but has dropped two of their last five matches 2-0 while splitting the other three matches 1-1.

Imperial looks to have the better form as of right now so it might be wise to ride the hot hand and look their way for a tournament stack that could go overlooked. Over the last four months, Imperial has had a team K/D ratio of 1.07 while Isurus has had a team K/D ratio of .98 so the edge goes to Imperial.

Imperial seems to be well rounded as they have four players with an above 1 K/D ratio over the last four months. ZqkS leads the squad with a 1.17 while KHTEX has a 1.10 over that same timespan. DelboNi and dzt both have a 1.08 K/D ratio and all of them have at least a +30 K/D differential over the last 25 maps played. With the line being in favor of Isurus and the lack of them being on any main slates, Imperial could fly under the radar and be a good low owned stack on this slate.
