Carolina Hurricanes center Vincent Trocheck registered his first point in the team's colors on Saturday, scoring the game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime victory against the New York Islanders. Justin Williams and Joel Edmundson scored in regulation, Andrei Svechnikov ended a three-game dry spell with two assists. Trocheck had a poor start in Carolina, going pointless with five shots and a minus-three rating in four games, but Saturday's winner should give a nice boost in confidence. The 26-year-old forward will be back in action on Sunday against his hometown Penguins. Trocheck has nine points in 16 career games against Pittsburgh, including two in two outings this season.--Taavi Pailk
