Mike Minor Gives Up Four Runs In Loss
Mike Minor allowed four runs in six innings and took the loss vs the Mariners Wednesday. Minor actually pitched well overall, but was doomed by a four-run fifth inning. Minor has had a nice season with a 3.00 ERA and 9.14 strikeouts per nine. Those numbers are a bit deceiving as his FIP is much higher at 4.09 and has been the beneficiary of an 87 percent strand rate. Minor has been at the center of a lot of trade rumors and his rest of season fantasy value will largely depend on where he winds up pitching but his next scheduled start with the Rangers is a rematch against these Mariners at home on Tuesday.
