Toronto Maple Leafs center Mitchell Marner posted an even-strength goal and a pair of assists with a plus-1 rating, two blocked shots and a hit in Friday's 4-2 road victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Marner became the first player in Maple Leafs history to pick up 40 or more assists in three consecutive seasons, and he joins Washington's Nicklas Backstrom, Chicago's Patrick Kane, Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin, Washington's Alexander Ovechkin and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby as the only active players to have achieved the feat. Next up is a battle with the New York Islanders on Saturday night in Toronto.--Daniel DobishRead More News
