Cameron Smith fired four rounds in the 60s to finish in a share of third place at the Northern Trust. The Aussie gained 5.594 strokes on the greens, which was good for ninth best in the field. Smith started the season with six top-20 finishes in his first nine events but had gone nine consecutive tournaments without a top-20 result. With the FedExCup playoffs awarding more points per contest than regular season events, the 25-year-old picked the perfect time to break out of his slump. Smith entered the first leg of the playoffs in 53rd place but jumped up 37 spots with his performance and into 16th position. The 39th-ranked golfer in the world will hope to carry his momentum into the Dell Technologies Championship this week. However, Smith hasn't had success at TPC Boston in his young career, missing the cut in his only attempt in 2017. --Spencer Aguiar - RotoBaller
