Zach Britton Earns First Save Of Season Saturday
Zach Britton earned his first save of the season in Saturday's 7-5 win against the Braves. Britton pitched a strong ninth inning, allowing no runs on no hits and a walk with a strikeout. The performance was an encouraging one after a disastrous outing a day before in which Britton allowed four runs and only recorded one out. The lefty has served as the Orioles closer in previous seasons with great success, so it makes sense that the Orioles would want him in that role as soon as possible. He now has a 6.35 ERA but has only pitched 5 2/3 innings due to an Achilles injury.
