Tom Murphy Has Big Friday Night

After going through a bit of a funk recently, Colorado Rockies catcher Tom Murphy brought the pain on Friday night. Playing his role in Colorado's blowout win over Miami, Murphy smashed a pair of doubles and drove in two while going 3-for-5 on the night. Unfortunately, Murphy is playing an all-or-nothing game so far, hitting .344 but striking out 39% of the time. He's riding a BABIP of .579, so expect that batting average to come way down. He's also stuck in a three-way time-share with Chris Iannetta and Tony Wolters. Murphy's still got tons of potential, but don't be surprised if it's a rocky 2018 for him.
