Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte (oblique) will be placed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday, according to The Athletic's Rob Biertempfel. Marte left Tuesday's game in the first inning after straining his right oblique and has missed the last two games. Biertempfel reports that the injury is not severe, but the Pirates want to play it safe with their star center fielder. Marte has been a contributor across the board for fantasy owners this season, so it's good to see he isn't expected to miss much time. He's hitting .308/.366/.503 with six home runs, 19 RBI, 30 runs scored and 10 steals on the year. Top prospect Austin Meadows is being recalled in a corresponding move and could prove a useful replacement option for Marte owners.--Matt Wilkes
