Sean Doolittle Still Perfect In Converting Save Chances

Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle earned his eighth save of the year in Friday's 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks. He's now a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances this year. He threw 15 of his 17 pitches for strikes and got two strikeouts in a clean 1-2-3 inning. Unfortunately the Nationals' batting woes have kept him from many saves chances so far, but they seem to be surging and should heat up with the summer weather. Look for Doolittle to ascend to the upper tier of closers as long as he stays healthy.
