Oakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen earned his fifth save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Orioles. He gave up no runs and surrendered a hit and a walk with no strikeouts. While the stat line looks fine, Treinen found himself in trouble early after giving up a leadoff single to Trey Mancini, who eventually reached third with only one out. However, Treinen was able to strand Mancini and earn the save. He has converted five of seven save opportunities this season, posting a 1.13 ERA and a 10.13 K/9 rate. If he can continue producing at that rate, Treinen should continue to be a reliable source of saves for the A's.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
