Seattle Mariners outfielder Guillermo Heredia has been recalled from Triple-A. The Mariners will now carry five outfielders on their team with the addition of Heredia, who was hitting .385 in six games in the minors. Heredia opened the season with the big league club as outfielder Ben Gamel was rehabbing an oblique injury. Heredia went 9-for-29 (.310) before the demotion and should see at-bats against left-handed pitching and will back up Dee Gordon in center field. Do not expect Heredia to see regular at-bats in the near future, but he could see an increase in playing time if Gamel continues to struggle.--Joey C - RotoBaller
