Daniel Murphy Showing Greater Mobility

Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy (knee) was seen before Tuesday's contest in D.C. moving around the diamond doing fielding drills. It's good to know that he's "Charging balls, moving laterally, throwing on the run," according to Washington Post reporter Chelsea Janes. Murphy has been slow to recover from offseason microfracture surgery in his right knee and was spending time in West Palm Beach, Florida, at extended spring training. He also hit during the pre-game batting practice, so a return within the month isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Owners who are nervous about his outlook for 2018 could flip him just as he's about ready to return. Start testing the waters now.
