Kansas City Royals outfielder Jon Jay has spent all of 2018 leading off for the team until Friday night. Jay's been rocking a .227 batting average over the last two weeks with a .292 on-base percentage, so manager Ned Yost decided it was time to shake things up. Jay was dropped to sixth in the lineup, and he smacked a couple of singles. Yost seems to be sticking with the new order for now, as Jay is listed as hitting sixth again in the first game of Saturday's double-header with the Twins. This would certainly hurt Jay's run totals, but he may gather a couple more RBIs if he stays in his new batting slot.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
