The Cleveland Browns are releasing cornerback Jason McCourty on Thursday, according to sources. McCourty appeared in 14 games with Cleveland in 2017, his only season with the team. He was far and away the team's best cornerback and finished the season with 65 total tackles, two forced fumbles, three interceptions and 14 passes defended. The move comes as somewhat of a surprise, but according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Browns front office wants to "reboot with their own guys." Perhaps playing into the decision is the fact that McCourty was one of the players to voice his displeasure to the media after current general manager John Dorsey made his infamous statement in December that the previous regime didn't get enough "real players" in Cleveland. McCourty will certainly draw the interest of several teams who are looking to shore up their secondaries.--Matt T - RotoBallerRead More News
