FanDuel DFS - MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers, & Advice for 10/13/15

THERE'S some offense for ya! An MLB Playoff record 21 home runs were crushed yesterday and all four games were in on the action.

Aside from the Blue Jays-Rangers game they were exciting events to watch and all four were excellent opportunities to make winning FanDuel lineups.

Today we get two NLDS Game 4's to analyze as the Mets and Cubs try to finish their respective series. Let's get to the picks.

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

St. Louis Cardinals versus Jason Hammel

The one downside to this play is the fact that the majority of players are thinking the same thing. But Jason Hammel has been too ineffective to pass it up. Hammel struggled with a hamstring injury and was never able to recover in the second half, posting a 5.10 ERA in 14 starts to end 2015. He also has allowed seven runs in 11 innings to the Cardinals thus far. The Cardinals are in do-or-die mode so expect them to pull out all the stops here. I'm grabbing a share of Jason HeywardMatt Carpenter, and Stephen Piscotty.

Honorable Mention: Mets versus Clayton Kershaw

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

John Lackey (SP, STL) - $9,000

With their backs against the wall, the Cardinals turn to their de facto ace to keep hopes alive. Lackey stifled the Cubs in Game 1 with 7.1 shutout innings while allowing just two hits and a walk with five punchouts.  He's pitched on short rest four times in his career and posted a 3.15 ERA in those outings. Look for the Cardinals to stretch this series to Game 5.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Travis D'Arnaud (C, NYM) - $2,900

Never fun to bet against Kershaw, but D'Arnaud has a .689 slugging percentage versus LHP and is getting hot at the right time (3-for-5, HR).

Adrian Gonzalez (1B, LAD) - $3,000

If only they'd let me use Piscotty here. Alas, we'll roll with A-Gonz who is hitting .333 in the NLDS.

Starlin Castro (2B, CHC) - $3,400

#0Haters just continues his onslaught and is now batting .364 in the NLDS. Ride the hot hand.

Justin Turner (3B, LAD) - $3,200

Don't blame Turner for the Dodgers being in a 2-1 hole. He's hitting .500 in the NLDS.

Wilmer Flores (SS, NYM) - $2,500

This may be me buying into the drama of October, but my gut is telling me Wilmer Flores will have an impact as the Mets #WinforRuben. He's 3-for-6 in his lifetime versus Kershaw as well.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Yoenis Cespedes (OF, NYM) - $4,300

Pay that man, New York! Cespedes was 3-for-5 last night including an upper-decker to left field. If ain't broke, don't fix it. Plus ownership should be lower than usual with players paying up for Kershaw.

Jason Heyward (OF, STL) - $3,400

Mentioned in the stack segment, Heyward looks like a man playing for a payday and is doing his part for the Cardinals. He's now batting .333 in the NLDS and is 9-for-18 versus Jason Hammel.

Stephen Piscotty (OF, STL) - $3,100

Piscotty is batting .417 in the NLDS including a team-high two home runs. It's too bad he doesn't qualify at 1B so we could fit in Randal Grichuk, but we'll make do here.
