FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice for 6/29/15

By TonyTheTiger (Own work) [CC BY-SA 4.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Kevin Luchansky analyzes some MLB DFS lineup picks & sleepers for 6/29/15 on FanDuel fantasy baseball daily leagues. His DFS advice and value picks help you win on FanDuel.

It's only a nine game slate this afternoon, so I'll try to provide some insight into most of the matchups, highlighting the strongest options and best values.

Editor’s Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings – they’re hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It’s FREE to enter and pays out $110,000 in cash prizes!

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

Dodgers vs Allen Webster

The Dodgers are pretty huge road favorites (-154) and I think it has more to do with what Vegas expects the Dodgers' bats to do to Allen Webster than anything else. Webster has only started three games this season, posting a 6.46 ERA and a poor 9:11 K:BB ratio. It's a small sample, but for his splits this season, right-handed hitters have hammered to the tune of a .273/.385/.636 slash line with three home runs. For his career, both right-handed and left-handed batters own a greater than .400 slugging percentage and greater than .330 wOBA against him. You can make a few formidable stacks out of the Dodgers lineup tonight. The righties - looking at you, Yaisel Puig, Justin Turner, Scott Van Slyke - may be the most affordable, though.

Rangers RHB vs Bud Norris

It seems as though Bud Norris has taken two steps back this season after what some considered a breakout year in 2014. Norris has posted a 6.70 ERA through 10 starts with a 6.34 K/9 and 3.26 BB/9. The numbers of that stat line are heading in the wrong direction from his 2014 line and he's allowing nearly three more hits per nine innings, too. The Rangers have a number of hitters that can punish the baseball, especially against right-handed pitchers. I'm targeting Shin-Soo Choo, Prince Fielder, Rougned Odor and Joey Gallo.

Brewers LHB & top of the order vs Sean O'Sullivan

The Brewers don't have the most potent of lineups, but they can be had on the cheap today and have the benefit of facing Sean O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan owns an ugly 5.34 ERA through 11 starts this season with only a 4.3 K/9 and an average of nearly 11 hits per nine frames. Left-handed batters are owning him this season too, posting a monster .718 slugging percentage with 10 home runs. Milwaukee hitters wont be home in their usual home run launching pad, but Philadelphia is a great park for offenses, too.  I'm targeting Adam Lind, Jonathon Lucroy, Gerrardo Parra and Ryan Braun.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

We're almost entirely devoid of front-of-the-rotation starters tonight. As such, I'm going to lay out a few options that I think should have a decent return on investment. These pitchers are listed in my order of preference and all have a strong chance at a win and 5+ strikeouts.

C.J. Wilson (SP, LAA) - $7,900

Jimmy Nelson (SP, MIL) - $7,200

Lance McCullers (SP, HOU) - $6,700

Nathan Karns (SP, TAM) - $6,600

Joe Blanton (SP, KC) - $5,500

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Yasmani Grandal (C, LAD) - $2,800

I'll likely be deploying Grandal in a number of Dodger stacks this evening. He's hitting right in the middle of a strong lineup, owns a .439 lifetime slugging percentage against RHP's and faces a weak starter tonight.

Matt Wieters (C, BAL) - $3,300

Like Grandal, Wieters is grabbing the fifth lineup slot in a pretty strong order while facing a pretty weak opposing starter tonight. He also has park factors working in his favor.

Paul Goldschmidt (1B, ARI) - $5,400

Okay, so the price tag is insane, but I can't in good conscious not mention him as one of the top plays tonight.

Adam Lind (1B, MIL) - $3,700

He's got the strongest shot of any player to leave the yard tonight. He hits righties hard (.515 slugging) and faces a below-average one this evening.

Adrian Gonzalez (1B, LAD) - $3,000

A really nice price tag relative to other strong first base options. Fits nicely in a Dodgers' stack, too.

Brian Dozier (2B, MIN) - $4,100

Dozier has become quite the mainstay in my DFS lineup suggestions, and for good reason. He's been launching home runs pretty constantly and I love fitting him into my tournament teams. Pretty expensive today, but he's in an excellent park for home runs.

Rougned Odor (2B, TEX) - $2,600

Has a chance to be the best ROI guy today with his hot streak (.632 slugging percentage last two weeks) and park factors working in his favor.

Todd Frazier (3B, CIN) - $4,900

Although it's not quite as steep of a tag as Goldy, Frazier is gonna cost you some big bucks tonight. Before you pass on him though, consider he's got park factors, faces a weak opposing starter and is slugging .722 with seven home runs in the past 14 days.

Justin Turner (3B, LAD) - $3,700

Turner is almost as hot as Frazier and he comes in $1,200 dollars cheaper. He's been hitting second in the order, which increases his value while he's been on quite the tear. Turner is a .454 career slugger against righties, too.

Pablo Sandoval (3B, BOS) - $2,400

A great value play tonight. He's got a "green light" in almost every statistical category for this matchup: strong splits against opposing arm, strong slugging, weak opposing starter and decent park factors.

Carlos Correa (SS, HOU) - $4,000

It didn't take long for FanDuel to jack up the price on the young shortstop. He's hitting .344 over his past five series.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Joc Pederson (OF, LAD) - $3,600

Ryan Braun (OF, MIL) - $4,500

Jose Bautista (OF, TOR) - $5,000

Gerrardo Parra (OF, MIL) - $2,600
