MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 5/5/15

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks & Tools help you get an edge for your DraftKings lineups with exclusive access to DFS tools and expert lineup picks. Also our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool helps you analyze today’s matchups and make optimal lineup decisions.

It’s a divisional kind of week in Major League Baseball, with 12 of the 15 matchups on Tuesday waged between division foes. There are lots of good splits to exploit on this Cinco De Mayo. Let’s see what we’ve got to ensure you enjoy your holiday.

Stacking Offenses to Target for DraftKings DFS

White Sox vs Shane Greene

Greene has allowed 15 earned runs in his last two starts with a 5.11 road ERA this season. In a favorable hitters park, Jose Abreu ($5,000) and Melky Cabrera ($4,300) are strong plays.

Indians Lefty Destroyers vs Jason Vargas

Cleveland has three players among the top 31 in batting average against lefties. Michael Brantley ($5,300), Ryan Raburn (see later) and Brandon Moss ($4,800) are all good plays. So is Carlos Santana (see later).

DFS Pitchers To Consider for DraftKings

Zach Greinke ($9,800) vs Brewers

Greinke knows just a little bit about Milwaukee and Miller Park. He’s 15-2 with a 3.21 ERA lifetime in Milwaukee in 159 innings. Even more convenient, the Brewers are batting .229 at home going into Monday’s games.

Garrett Richards ($9,500) vs Mariners

Richards allowed just two runs over seven innings in his only home start and Seattle is hitting .224, 26th in the major leagues, away from Safeco Field.

DFS Catchers To Consider for DraftKings

Carlos Santana ($4,300) vs Royals

Santana is batting a solid .286 against lefties this season and is a decent 5-for-19 against Kansas City starter Jason Vargas. He’s also an astonishing .370/.479/.704 in 36 career games at Kauffman Stadium.

DFS Infielders To Consider for DraftKings

Paul Goldschmidt- 1B- ($5,700) vs Rockies

Paul Goldschmidt is not only 15 for his last 27 going into Monday’s games, he’s a career .300/.408/.440 hitter at Coors Field.

Freddie Freeman- 1B- ($4,600) vs Phillies

Freeman is 11 for his last 27 with four doubles and faces a pitcher in Chad Billingsley who hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since April 15, 2013. I’ll take my chances at home, where Freeman is hitting a healthy .286.

Jose Altuve- 2B- ($5,300) vs Rangers

He’s expensive for a reason. He leads the major leagues in batting average, .516, against lefties among players with at least 25 plate appearances against southpaws. That success should continue against Wandy Rodriguez.

Zack Cozart- SS- ($3,500) vs Pirates

Check your lineups until the last minute if you play him, because a bruised finger could keep him out. But if he’s in the lineup, Cozart is batting .385 with five homers on the road and is 3-for-11 with a homer lifetime against Pittsburgh starter Jeff Locke.

DJ LeMahieu- 2B/3B- ($3,900) vs Dbacks

LeMahieu is off to a .424 start at Coors Field this season and is 3-for-9 against lefties this season. If you want a nice sleeper to fill out your lineup, he could be your guy.

DFS Outfielders To Consider for DraftKings

Corey Dickerson- ($5,500) vs Diamondbacks

Another Colorado masher at home, Dickerson is hitting .393 with three homers in 28 home at bats this season going into Monday’s action. He’s also hitting .308 against lefties as he goes against southpaw Robby Ray on Tuesday.

Kole Calhoun- ($4,400) vs Mariners

Calhoun is hitting .395 with three homers at Angel Stadium this season and is an impressive 6-for-16 against lefties this season. I’d give him a shot against Seattle’s James Paxton.

Ryan Raburn- ($3,000) vs Royals

Raburn is another masher of lefties, hitting .457 this season with a homer and seven doubles. If he gets the start for Cleveland, get a good sleeper bargain in your lineup.
