NBA Playoff DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 4/30/15

Sam Nedimyer highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/30/15 as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

When the season ended and the seedings were finalized, there was probably nary a soul that did not think the Clippers and Spurs series would be great. Perhaps it would go seven games. So far we have not been disappointed. On the other side of the country, the Chicago-Milwaukee matchup was not exactly pined for the same way. The Bulls had the experience and the talent and most if not at all believed it would be a mere formality. Perhaps only a six game series. Both of these series will be going seven games unless the Spurs and the Bulls can close out at home and on the road, respectively.

We have provided our daily picks throughout the year and we will continue to push hard during this second NBA season. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for Thursday, April 30th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth The FanDuel Investment

Blake Griffin (LAC, PF) - $11,600

The Clippers-Spurs game will feature more scoring than the outing in Milwaukee, so it is a safe bet to target that game. Considering that literally anyone can be the man any given night for the Spurs, it is a safer bet to pick up as many Clippers starters as possible. Griffin has clearly been the best player in this series. His worst performance came in Game 3 and he still recorded a double-double. Expect another game from him north of 45.0 FDP.

Other PF to Consider: Tim Duncan (SA, $9,500)

Age is just a number for Timmy as he continues to post 20-10 games.

Chris Paul (LAC, PG) - $10,400

The second best player on the court in San Antonio is Paul. Like Griffin, his worst game in terms of production was Game 3. It is safe to say that as Griffin goes, so goes Paul. And vice versa. In terms of high risk-high reward, starting Paul and Griffin in the same FanDuel lineup is about as maximized as it gets. But boy do the dividends pay off.

Michael Carter-Williams (MIL, PG) - $7,200

It’s a shame the Bucks lost Game 3 as they have clearly been the better team in the last three games of this series. It would be fun to see a youthful and athletic team go up against King James and the Cavs in the second round. There’s still a chance of the Bucks advancing but the win probability is not in their favor. In terms of daily fantasy, Carter-Williams is clearly a player on the rise. He has gotten better as the series has gotten older. As long as the Bucks can keep the pace up, Carter-Williams will have a monster performance in FDP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL, SG) - $6,800

Milwaukee is going to want to get out fast and keep it quick throughout the game. That pace will surely help the multi-faceted Antetokounmpo. The young Greek can shoot, drive, jump, rebound and play defense. He’s almost like a modern day Hercules, except Hercules never went 25-12 in a playoff game at the age of 20.

J.J. Redick (LAC, SG) - $4,700

For whatever reason, Redick has found opportunities to exploit the San Antonio defense for open shots. The problem is he hasn’t been connecting the way he has in the past. The former Duke standout owns a career 53.5 TS% in the playoffs, but is only hitting 53.5% in this series. Look for that to change Thursday night.

FanDuel Sleepers & Value Picks

Taj Gibson (CHI, PF) - $4,000

As much as Milwaukee wants to play with pace, Chicago will want to set up their half-court offense as much as possible. Gibson is the premier low-block offensive option for Chicago when he is on the floor. With the exception of his awful Game 2 performance, Gibson has maintained around 20.0 FDP in each game of this series. That makes for a solid return on investment.

Other PF to Consider: John Henson (MIL, $4,900)

Another guy that has gotten stronger in this series in Henson. He has made every minute count as he has posted an above average 19.3 PER in only 27.6 minutes per game. It’s been a few games since Henson has hit the 30 minute plateau. Thursday night seems as good a night as any for him to reach that again.

Zaza Pachulia (MIL, C) - $4,000

With the exception of DeAndre Jordan, the center position isn’t exactly stacked for Thursday’s slate. If you don’t go with Jordan, then it is imperative to find the best value at the five spot. Pachulia is a guy that has really gotten into a groove and the Bulls are having a harder time containing him. He has seen increased minutes in every game and as a result has seen increased production. The Divine Secret of Zaza is that he is that cheap on FanDuel.
