BALLER MOVE: Add In Deeper Leagues (12+ Teams)
ANALYSIS: One thing is for sure, you can certainly take a guilt-free waiver wire flier on a proven old veteran who is healthy and playing with a chip on his shoulder with a new team for the first time in his career. From what the eyeball test tells us this preseason, this former Panther's great is primed for a nice season in the Ravens allegedly improved offense.
Even at 35, Steve Smith Sr. is a great downfield blocker as a wide receiver, has great hands and can still make a big play when called upon. For all of those reason, this fiery team leader will be a nice sleeper this year as his snap count will probably be high enough due to all the aforementioned factors to make him a viable WR4 with upside in any given week that his is not listed on the injury report.
If you play in a deeper league of 12 teams or more, or a 10 team league that starts 4 wide receivers, we suggest you take a good hard look at who you can drop for a 2014 potential veteran breakout.
