Chargers Committed to Three-Man Running Back Rotation
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that using a three-man backfield rotation is what is "best for our team," per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty As Charged Podcast. Chargers running backs Omarion Hampton (nine carries), Keaton Mitchell (10 carries), and Kimani Vidal (five carries, two receptions) split the work fairly evenly in Los Angeles' Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. It comes as somewhat of a surprise that Hampton has not emerged as the lead back for the Chargers, as he was selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and possesses a three-down skill set. However, it appears the team prefers a committee approach, making Hampton tough for fantasy managers to trust for weekly production.

Mike McDaniel's Job Not in Jeopardy
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's job is not in jeopardy, per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty as Charged podcast. McDaniel has come under fire as the Chargers offense has struggled during the team's 0-4 start to the 2026 season. Through four games, Los Angeles is averaging just 16.8 points per contest. Star quarterback Justin Herbert has gotten off to a slow start as well, with six interceptions compared to just four touchdown passes. McDaniel is in his first year with the Chargers after spending the previous four seasons as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins had top-10 offenses in each of McDaniel's first two years as the play-caller, but fell to 26th in yardage in 2025.

Bo Nix Says Ankle Injury Isn't Impacting His Performance
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was asked if his ankle injury is inhibiting him at all following their Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Nix gave a quick and blunt answer, "No", per Zac Stevens. Nix hasn't been himself this season, with 605 passing yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions through four games this season. He underwent surgery last January to repair a fractured right ankle that he suffered during a playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills. It's a fair question to ask if the ankle is bothering him, but Nix is always going to say he's fine. Fantasy managers can hope for better days ahead versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.

DJ Moore Aggravates Shoulder Injury in Week 4
Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Moore was taken to the ground in the second quarter and aggravated his shoulder injury, per Adam Schefter. Moore was unable to return to this game, but his injury isn't viewed as a long-term issue. He finished his day by hauling in one of his two targets for 11 yards in the loss. Fantasy managers will need to check on his status throughout the week to see if he'll be available to play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. If not, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer will be asked to take on expanded roles.

Rashee Rice Suffers Tweaked Hamstring
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring) was unable to return during Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Rice reportedly suffered a tweaked hamstring while trying to make a play during the first quarter, per Sam McDowell. He was originally listed as questionable, but was downgraded to doubtful and never returned to the game. The Chiefs also lost Tyquan Thornton (ankle) during this game. Fantasy managers should get an update on Rice during the week, but the team is on bye this upcoming week. That means Rice will get a whole week to rest and recover before the Chiefs take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6.

Patrick Surtain II Doesn't Return During Week 4 Loss
Denver Broncos defensive back Patrick Surtain II (ankle) was unable to return during Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, per Adam Schefter. Surtain sustained a non-contact injury during the first half of this game. He needed assistance off the field and was unable to return during the second half. He finished Sunday's loss with four tackles, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to go for next week. Fantasy managers will need to check back throughout the week for more information on Surtain. Riley Moss (ribs) was also forced to leave early during this game. The Broncos could be shorthanded at defensive back for the Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

NFL Reviewing Referee Conduct Following Verbal Altercation with Star Player
The NFL is reportedly looking into an incident between a referee and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, per Adam Schefter. The league is reviewing a situation in which an official appears to use profanity towards McBride. The NFLPA Executive Director JC Tretter called for the league to hold the official accountable for his actions during Sunday's game between the Cardinals and New York Giants. The players are consistently held accountable, so Tretter believes the officials should be held to the same standard. The NFL should give an update on this situation in the coming days.

Saquon Barkley Seen Walking "Perfectly Normal" Following Hamstring Injury
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) was "able to walk perfectly normal," out of Lincoln Financial Field, according to Ashlyn Sullivan of NBC Sports Philadelphia, who saw Barkley leaving the stadium with his family. Barkley suffered a hamstring injury in the second series of a 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Barkley was later ruled out for the game. He finished the contest with just two carries for eight yards and one reception for two yards. Running backs Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley filled in against the Rams while Barkley was out. If Barkley is forced to miss any additional time, Bigsby and Shipley will be primed for larger roles in the backfield.

Pat Bryant Catches Three Passes, But Was Carted to Locker Room In Loss to 49ers
Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant (ankle) was carted to the locker room during a 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, according Zac Stevens of DNVR Broncos. Stevens later reported that Bryant was designated as questionable to return. He suffered the injury in the third quarter. Bryant finished the day with three receptions (on three targets) for 47 yards, including a 30-yard catch. Bryant's status moving forward is unclear, but receiving the questionable tag instead of being ruled out may provide some room for optimism. If Bryant misses time, quarterback Bo Nix and the Broncos will rely on wide receivers Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr., tight end Evan Engram, and their running backs in the passing game.

Lamar Jackson "Week-to-Week," Pending MRI
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) is believed to be considered "week-to week" with an ankle injury, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. This follows reports from elsewhere that Jackson was previously considered to be "day-to-day." Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter also seemed to express optimism about Jackson's status moving forward, and said that the team considered putting him back in on Sunday. However, Jackson was seen wearing a walking boot after the game. Florio notes that Jackson will have an MRI to reveal the exact extent of the injury. Jackson exited Baltimore's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 before the second half due to the ankle issue. He did not play in the second half of the game, and Tyler Huntley stepped in at quarterback. If Jackson misses any time, Huntley will assume the starting quarterback role.

Tyquan Thornton Suffers "Gruesome" Injury Vs. Raiders
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (leg) suffered a "gruesome" leg injury in a Week 4 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports. Warren added that Thornton was carted off of the field. It appears to be a lower-leg injury for Thornton. Following a 55-yard gain on a reception in the fourth quarter, Thornton attempted to stand up and immediately went back down to the ground. Thornton was having a strong game with five receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns before exiting. With Thornton likely out and fellow wideout Rashee Rice also getting hurt earlier in the game, the Chiefs will rely on wide receiver Xavier Worthy, tight end Travis Kelce, running back Kenneth Walker III and others in the passing game

Jalen Coker Ruled Out for Sunday Night Football Vs. Lions
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps) has been ruled out for the Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football, the team announced ahead of the game. Coker is dealing with an injury to his quadriceps and did not practice on Wednesday before logging limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. He entered the weekend with a questionable designation, but ultimately won't be able to play. Coker leads the Panthers in receiving with 18 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns in 2026. The Panthers also recently placed fellow wide receiver Xavier Legette (knee) on injured reserve. Carolina will lean on wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan and John Metchie III, tight ends Darren Waller and Tommy Tremble and others in the passing game.

Ladd McConkey Ruled Out with Foot Injury
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) has been downgraded to out with a foot injury, according to the team. The team's No. 1 wideout was listed as questionable heading into this game with a foot injury and appears to have faced a further setback. Before exiting the contest, the pass catcher drew two targets but did not catch any of them. Fantasy managers should watch his status, as he could be in danger of missing Week 5. For the remainder of the contest, Tre' Harris and Quentin Johnston should see most of the targets from Justin Herbert.

Dak Prescott has Throwing Hand Wrapped After Sunday's Victory
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had his throwing hand wrapped after their thrilling victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. Per Nick Harris of The Star-Telegram, the quarterback said he took off a cleat on his throwing hand and is trying to avoid further swelling. Prescott noted that he is "fine" other than that minor injury. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on this at the start of the week, but it appears Prescott avoided any serious injury. In their victory, the 33-year-old went 32-for-45 for a season-high 355 passing yards and a score. He added another seven yards on the ground. Prescott leaned heavily on CeeDee Lamb, who tallied 189 of those yards. Prescott remains a high-end QB1 in all formats ahead of a Week 5 tilt against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jalen Nailor Ruled Out with a Concussion
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Kansas City Chiefs with a concussion. Nailor did not draw a single target before sustaining the injury. Since catching three passes in Week 1, Nailor has brought in only two passes for a mere 25 yards. For the remainder of the contest, Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer, and Tre Tucker should operate as the top options for Kirk Cousins.

Rashee Rice Downgraded to Doubtful with Hamstring Injury
According to the team, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring) has been downgraded to doubtful with a hamstring injury. The team's No. 1 wideout suffered this injury in the opening frame and has yet to return to the field. Before exiting the contest, Rice did not draw a single target. Managers should pay close attention to this status after the contest, as he appeared to be in pain after suffering the non-contact injury. For the remainder of the contest, the Chiefs' passing attack should revolve around Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, and Tyquan Thornton.

Jeremiyah Love Sees Workload Decrease in Sunday's Loss
Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love saw his workload decrease significantly in their loss to the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon. The former Notre Dame standout entered Week 4 riding a breakout performance in Week 3, but saw his fantasy value take a massive step back on Sunday afternoon. Last weekend, Love ran the ball a season-high 21 times for 90 yards, caught five passes for 19 yards and a touchdown. However, this weekend, Love took just 14 carries for 63 yards, while No. 2 back Tyler Allgeier logged eight carries and punched in a touchdown. While this result is a major disappointment for fantasy managers, Love should still be expected to remain the lead back in this offense, even if his workload is limited at times. He still projects to hold high-end RB2 upside in a Week 5 tilt against the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Surtain II is Helped off the Field with Injury
Denver Broncos defensive back Patrick Surtain II (lower body) needed to be helped off the field by the training staff during Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Surtain went down with a non-contact lower body injury late in the second half of this game. He looked like a calf or foot injury, but fantasy managers should get another update in the second half of this game. Before leaving, Surtain recorded four tackles in the first half. His absence will be a huge hole in this Broncos defense if he's not able to return in the second half.

Drake Maye Bounces Back in Huge Win
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye came into Week 4 with zero touchdowns and three interceptions over his last two games. The 24-year-old rebounded hugely during Sunday's victory over the Buffalo Bills. He completed 22-of-37 passing attempts for 269 yards with three touchdowns and one interception during the three-point dub. The Pats were on the verge of losing this game until Maye charged down the field and connected with Efton Chism for a 23-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter. This was a much-needed bounce-back performance for Maye. Fantasy managers can be hopeful that Maye can carry this momentum into next week's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Garrett Wilson is Quiet in Week 4 Loss
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was unable to carry his momentum from Week 3 into this weekend's matchup against the Chicago Bears. Wilson was quiet with three receptions on four targets for 27 yards in the loss. It wasn't all his fault, as the Jets only possessed the ball for 17 minutes in this game. His four targets actually led the team, with quarterback Geno Smith only attempting 15 total passes. Fantasy managers should expect better days ahead for Wilson with a matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5. Wilson should bounce back into WR1 territory for that one.
