Sam Leavitt Expected to Sign with LSU
Arizona State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt is expected to land with LSU after visiting several programs, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. The rising junior signal-caller visited with LSU, Kentucky, Miami, and Tennessee during the "recruitment" process, but it appears he has decided to join Lane Kiffin and the Tigers for the 2026 campaign. On Monday morning, the 21-year-old informed programs that he will be going to Baton Rouge. Leavitt played in 20 games for the Sun Devils, tallying 4,513 passing yards, 749 rushing yards, and 44 touchdowns to just nine interceptions. He led Arizona State to the College Football Playoff and Big 12 Championship after the team was picked to finish last in the conference in 2024. He will be Kiffin's first starting quarterback at LSU, and a big season in 2026 could propel him to be a top pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
