Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele scored two goals in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings, helping the team end an 11-game losing streak. Scheifele popped up with two goals late in the second period after Quinton Byfield had put the Kings on the board. Gabriel Vilardi assisted on both Scheifele goals, including a power-play marker. Scheifele had multiple goals in a game for the fifth time this season. Judging by his numbers, you wouldn't guess that the Jets have declined from Presidents' Trophy winners to the worst team in the league. Across 43 games, Scheifele has picked up 52 points (22 goals, 30 assists), giving him a good opportunity to reach the 100-point plateau for the first time in his career.--Taavi Pailk
