Broncos Defense to be Without Pat Surtain, Alex Singleton, Jonah Elliss
The Denver Broncos defense will be missing some key contributors this Sunday in a crucial AFC West showdown in Week 11 against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, as All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain (pectoral) and linebackers Alex Singleton (illness) and Jonah Elliss (hamstring) have been ruled out, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Surtain, last year's Defensive Player of the Year, suffered a pectoral injury in Week 8 and will be missing his third straight game. The 25-year-old might be able to return after the team's Week 12 bye, but it's not a guarantee. Singleton had surgery last Friday for testicular cancer. The 31-year-old is doing well, but he also won't be a lock to return in Week 13 against the Commanders. The Broncos' defense/special teams has been a top-10 fantasy unit this year, but they'll be more of a low-end starting option this week against a rested Chiefs offense coming off its bye.
