Noel Acciari Sustains Upper-Body Injury
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Noel Acciari (upper body) logged only 1:10 of action in Monday's 4-3 defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Less than six minutes had been played in the contest when Acciari exited the matchup with an upper-body injury. Acciari's physicality would be an important asset for the Penguins in Thursday's meeting with bitter rivals, the Washington Capitals. However, it's uncertain if he can play in that game. Acciari has handed out 18 hits in 13 outings this season, contributing three assists on the attacking end. He has joined a long list of injuries in the Penguins' attacking department, which includes Justin Brazeau (upper body), Kevin Hayes (upper body), Rickard Rakell (hand), and Rutger McGroarty (upper body).
