Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Kendre Miller, RB, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller should be rostered in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 6. The rookie has seen his workload steadily increase, logging back-to-back games with double-digit carries and totaling 119 yards and a touchdown over that span. Starting running back Alvin Kamara suffered an ankle injury during Wednesday's practice, putting his status for the Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots in question.
Even if Kamara suits up, his workload could be limited, giving Miller a strong chance to see meaningful touches once again. Beyond the short-term upside, Miller offers long-term appeal as well. Trade rumors have begun to swirl around Kamara, with reports suggesting the Saints could move him to a contending team before the deadline. If that happens, Miller would immediately step into a featured role.
With both injury uncertainty and potential trade movement ahead, Miller should be added in all formats before his price skyrockets. He carries low-end FLEX value this weekend, but could see his stock soar if Kamara were to miss time.
Emari Demercado, RB, Arizona Cardinals
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado "will stay in the same role" on third downs. Meanwhile, Michael Carter will take over on first and second downs with Trey Benson (knee) out four to six weeks after having surgery on his meniscus. James Conner (ankle) has already been lost for the year, so the Cardinals' backfield depth is being tested early on.
Arizona could plan more designed runs for slippery quarterback Kyler Murray, too. Demercado had two carries for eight yards and caught both of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. While the 26-year-old will be more involved with Benson out, it's Carter that should see more volume, and thus be a better flex play in fantasy lineups, starting this Sunday against the winless Tennessee Titans.
Demercado is a low-range FLEX option in PPR formats.
Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (hamstring) has been among the disappointing fantasy receivers this year, but could return to his regularly scheduled role in Week 6. According to Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Falcons coach Raheem Morris said he would have more information on the receiver following Thursday's practice, but the team initially believed the injury would not force Mooney to miss any games.
Mooney has not yet had a big fantasy week in 2025, but he did draw 11 targets in his last full game. He's still sharing targets with Drake London, but he finished last year as the No. 31 overall fantasy receiver, alongside London.
Given good health, Mooney could be due to return to a workload more similar to last season in the coming weeks. He is a viable FLEX option in all standard formats in Week 6.
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught six of his 10 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson remains Justin Fields' preferred target in the passing game and ranks in the WR2 tier as a result, but his Week 5 fantasy performance was admittedly inflated by a garbage-time touchdown.
The former Ohio State product found the end zone with New York trailing by three possessions and just 2:49 left on the clock. Of course, fantasy managers don't care how or when players produce, as the results are the same either way. New York should continue to play from behind for most of this season, leaving ample opportunities for Wilson to boost his stats and reward fantasy managers as a strong WR2 despite facing a tough Denver secondary.
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that the Houston Texans still view rookie running back Woody Marks as "predominantly a passing-game back," and one who "had a bit of an injury history in college." It was looking like Marks was taking over the backfield from veteran Nick Chubb when he had a season-high 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 50 yards and another TD in the Week 4 win against the Tennessee Titans.
However, he was a disappointment in last week's blowout win over the Baltimore Ravens, handling seven carries for 24 yards and failing to reel in his only pass-game target. It means that when Houston is up big, like they were in Baltimore, Chubb will continue to have the playing-time advantage.
Marks is still worth rostering in all fantasy leagues, but his backfield takeover in Houston appears to be a little premature. He is best left for deeper 12+ team PPR leagues as a FLEX play.
