Alexandre Sarr Participates in Non-Contact Part of Practice on Monday
Alexandre Sarr (calf) was able to participate in parts of Monday's practice, marking the first time he has been able to be involved since his injury to his left calf during EuroBasket, according to coach Brian Keefe. Sarr was playing for France after a strong rookie season, during which he averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 27.1 minutes per game. The 20-year-old was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and a key piece of the Wizards' young core. If he is not able to get back in time for the start of the season, Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic would get more time, but when Sarr is healthy, he should be ready to continue his progress as one of the best young bigs in the game. This is the first step to him getting back on time for the season, but monitor his progress closely to determine his early-season value.
