Andy's potential Week 6 busts, fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for players who may disappoint. You should consider benching these players in Week 6.
Every week, fantasy managers see high-end players disappointing, given their relative expectations. This past weekend, some of the major disappointments were Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams and Cardinals tight end Trey McBride.
In this piece, we will look to identify potential landmines on the Week 6 slate. While it may be difficult to bench some of these players, managers should look to fill their lineups with some "floor" plays to counteract the potential for a bust.

Potential Fantasy Football Lineup Busts
Justin Fields (NYJ) vs. Denver Broncos
Justin Fields has produced as a QB1 in all but one of his starts this season. In Week 1, Fields totaled an impressive 31.7 PPR points against the Steelers. He took a step back in Week 2 and suffered a concussion, but was able to bounce back in Week 4 and 5 (after sitting out in Week 3).
In Week 4, Fields totaled 29.4 PPR points, which was highlighted by a season-high 81 yards. Then, this past weekend, Fields eclipsed 24.0 PPR points for the third time, totaling 24.8 PPR points during their loss to the Cowboys.
While his elite rushing upside provides him with one of the best floors at the position, he may take a step back as a passer facing Denver. The Broncos have allowed the third-fewest PPR points to passing QBs this season. While he can still find a path to produce low-end QB1 numbers on the ground, he will carry much more risk in this difficult matchup.
Derrick Henry (BAL) vs. Los Angeles Rams
Derrick Henry has been a disappointment for those who selected him with a late first-round pick. In Week 6, with a match against the Los Angeles Rams, it may not get much better.
Through five games, the Rams have allowed the fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season. After a monster showing in Week 1, where Henry racked up 31.2 PPR points, he has fallen under the 10.0 PPR point mark in three of his last four. He projects to be a low-end RB2 in this matchup.
The projected game script in which the Ravens will likely be trailing does not favor the power runner, who benefits from a massive workload.

David Montgomery (DET) @ Kansas City Chiefs
Another running back who could be in store for a tough matchup in Week 6 is David Montgomery. While Montgomery has enjoyed three productive outings, including two games (Week 3 and Week 5) in which he scored 15.0 PPR points, he is best viewed as a low-end FLEX this weekend.
This weekend, the Lions will face the Kansas City Chiefs, who have limited opposing RBs quite well this season. On Monday evening, Travis Etienne Jr ran for only 49 yards, and the week before, they held Henry to only 42 yards.
In a projected high-scoring affair, expect Jahmyr Gibbs to dominate the snaps given his passing ability. Montgomery will be touchdown-dependent in this contest.
Brian Thomas Jr. (JAC) vs. Seattle Seahawks
The 22-year-old got off to a low start but appears to be rounding into form. During their thrilling victory over the Chiefs on Monday evening, Thomas led the team in receiving yards as he brought in four of his six targets for 80 yards. However, in Weeks 1 through 4, Thomas averaged just 41.0 yards per game with a modest 9.0 PPR points per game.
This weekend, Thomas could take another step back, facing a tough Seattle secondary. While they struggled against Tampa Bay last weekend, they have still allowed the 12th-fewest PPR points to opposing WRs this season, making this a difficult matchup for Thomas.
Dalton Kincaid (BUF) @ Atlanta Falcons
The final player who could disappoint managers in Week 6 is tight end Dalton Kincaid. Kincaid has been one of the least surprising surprises this season after an underwhelming sophomore campaign. In 2024, Kincaid caught only 44 passes for 448 yards. This was a significant drop from the 73 catches and 673 yards he tallied as a rookie in 2023.
However, throughout five games this season, the former first-round pick appears to be on the fast track to a breakout campaign, averaging 57.4 yards per game. During this season, he has scored three touchdowns and totaled 13.3 PPR points per game.

However, managers view him as a viable TE1 this week; they should pump the brakes. He will face an Atlanta defense that has shut down opposing TEs, allowing the first PPR points against. This includes holding Zach Ertz to just 21 yards and T.J. Hockenson to 12.
Kincaid is best left for deeper 14+ team leagues this weekend.
