Tory Horton Inching Towards More Playing Time With Another Touchdown?
Tory Horton scored his fourth touchdown of the season in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Seahawks had to substantially increase their passing volume in a high-scoring game against the Bucs. Horton benefited from the increased volume with four targets and three receptions for 39 yards and the touchdown. Horton still played just 49% of the snaps, but it was still an uptick in usage from Week 4, when he played just 36% of the snaps. Horton is clearly talented. He is demonstrating a nose for the end zone early in the season with an ability to get lost amongst the defensive backs. No. 2 wide receiver Cooper Kupp is still doing a solid job getting open and making tough catches, so his role will not disintegrate. However, if Horton continues playing like this, the Seahawks will not be able to keep him off the field. For now, Horton is worth a spot on your bench.
