Edmundo Sosa Day-to-Day With Groin Tightness
Edmundo Sosa (groin) is day-to-day after leaving an 8-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Friday with groin tightness, manager Rob Thomson told reporters. Sosa, who started at shortstop, went 0-for-3 before the team replaced him with pinch-hitter Weston Wilson in the bottom of the seventh inning. With starting shortstop Trea Turner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list since Sept. 8, Sosa has gotten most of the playing time at the position. If Sosa is unable to go on Saturday, Bryson Stott could slide over from second base to take his place, as he did Friday. Either Wilson or Donovan Walton would fill in for Stott at second.
