Ryan Williams Expected to Play Against Wisconsin
Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (head) is expected to play in Saturday's SEC vs. Big Ten matchup against Wisconsin, according to ESPN's Mark Schlabach. The sophomore preseason All-American was injured in the Week 1 loss to Florida State after hitting his head on the turf and did not play in last week's blowout win over UL-Monroe. Williams impressed as a 17-year-old true freshman a year ago, catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. In his 2025 debut, he was limited to just 30 yards and notably dropped three passes in the fourth quarter from quarterback Ty Simpson. Saturday's game will be an opportunity for Williams to bounce back and build on his electric freshman campaign, assuming he can suit up. He is viewed as a sure-fire future NFL first-round pick.
