Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks Not Practicing
Jayden Reed (foot) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) did not take part in Thursday's training camp practice, according to Packers beat writer Wes Hodkiewicz. Reed has missed time this summer with a toe injury as well, but the foot injury is a new one and bears watching going forward. Wicks, meanwhile, has been managing a calf injury since late July. Neither pass-catcher is likely to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener versus the New York Jets. Reed's injuries don't seem serious, and he was working in two-receiver sets in camp before getting hurt. The 25-year-old was on his way to a huge year in 2024 before seeing his usage tail off late in the year. Still, he's shown a nose for the end zone (14 touchdowns in two years) while being a boom/bust big-play wideout as a WR4/flex in fantasy. Reed could have a bigger role early in 2025 with Christian Watson (knee) out.
