Ladd McConkey Still Not at Practice
Ladd McConkey (undisclosed) remains sidelined at training camp practice on Thursday, per Kris Rhim of ESPN. Head coach Jim Harbaugh recently said that McConkey is "working through something minor." Although it doesn't appear to be an injury significant enough to put his Week 1 availability in question, it's unlikely that the 23-year-old second-year wideout will play in the preseason opener on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. The former second-rounder (34th overall) last year out of Georgia established himself as quarterback Justin Herbert's go-to wideout in his first year, catching 82 of 112 targets for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 regular-season games (14 starts). Before his injury, he was essentially uncoverable in man-to-man coverage in practices. Barring something unforeseen, McConkey should be a low-end WR1 in fantasy in 2025.
