Quincy's 5 breakout players and potential league-winning picks for 2025 fantasy football drafts. His top breakout candidates include Drake London, Tyreek Hill, and more.
Fantasy football drafts are just around the corner. With training camp in full swing and a slate of preseason games on the horizon, it's time to get serious about NFL football. This is an exciting time to be an NFL and fantasy football fan. The anticipation of the season and the research we conduct are part of what makes fantasy football fun.
Every year, there are a handful of players drafted without the expectation of becoming a fantasy superstar. It is inevitable, yet it can be difficult to predict. However, finding these players can separate you from the rest of your league. Pairing these players with established fantasy superstars can be deadly and can lead to utter league domination.
Let's take a look at five players who fit the bill as fantasy football league winners in 2025. These are players you should target in the middle of your draft. Aim to leave your draft with at least one or two of these players and watch the wins roll in.

Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Drake London may be entering his CeeDee Lamb era. Both players were first-round picks in their respective drafts, and they each took a couple of seasons to fully get going. London was dynamic in 2024, finishing as the WR5. He cracked the 1,000-yard barrier in a huge way en route to 1,271 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

London received a smattering of targets over the final three games of the season after Michael Penix Jr. took over at quarterback. While it is reasonable to expect a rookie quarterback thrown into the fire to latch onto his top receiver, the undeniable chemistry between these two was exciting.
With Penix entering Year 2 after a full offseason as the starter, London and Penix's chemistry could be off the charts. Additionally, if Penix is the player the Falcons drafted him to be, he will have no problem supporting London as a top fantasy option.
The scariest part about London is that he is only 24 years old and still has room to grow as a player. You cannot be drafted as the No. 8 selection in the 2022 NFL Draft without high-end talent, and we have observed that talent on full display on the NFL field.
Watch for the Falcons to get creative with London this season. He is currently being drafted as a second-round wide receiver. You should have no issue rolling into the 2025 season with London as your WR1.
Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers
Chuba Hubbard has the makings of a player who will have a run of several exciting seasons. He is a highly efficient running back coming off a breakout season in an ascending Carolina offense.
Since the second half of the 2023 season, Hubbard has received massive volume and has been highly effective for fantasy. In 2024, Hubbard finished as the RB14 on the back of 1,195 yards and ten touchdowns. He notably averaged 4.78 yards per carry in an offense that did not find its footing until the midpoint of the season.

The Panthers have been the laughingstock of the league for several seasons. However, if quarterback Bryce Young can deliver the way he did over the second half of the 2024 season, this offense will hum. Hubbard's touchdown opportunities should not be reduced in 2025, and with the PFF-ranked No. 11 offensive line in front of him, his efficiency should remain high.
Hubbard needs to improve his efficiency as a receiver to fully ascend as a high-end RB1. Hubbard's 54 targets in 2024 were a great sign, but he only caught 43 passes, and he averaged just 3.98 yards per reception. If Hubbard can double his yards per reception, he will be unstoppable for fantasy managers in 2025.
Hubbard's draft position places him as a midrange RB2. That is his floor. You could be getting an RB1 for half the cost and double to glory by drafting Hubbard.
Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins
Just a year ago, Tyreek Hill was such a sure thing that including him on a list of league winners was a waste of time. However, Hill seems to be a forgotten man among fantasy football circles. Hill was once a potential No. 1 overall pick in fantasy. His ADP has fallen to the third round in fantasy drafts this season.
Imagine thinking Tyreek Hill is washed. Not me. Dude is about to remind yall who he is🚀
150+ targets incoming.
1500+ yards incoming.

You can draft him as WR23 right now 🤯

Hill's drop in value is due to a lackluster 2024 season. Hill played in all 17 games last season, but he finished as just the WR18. Since his second year in the league, Hill had not finished lower than the WR8 in each of his healthy seasons. Hill dealt with a wrist injury that limited him in 2024. Not to mention, the Dolphins dealt with more injuries to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The Dolphins switched their offensive game plan once Tagovailoa returned to the lineup. They opted for more short passes to tight end Jonnu Smith and running back De'Von Achane. They did not throw many bombs to Hill or fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. If this team expects to win games in 2025, it will need to push the ball down the field.
With an entire offseason to figure out how to protect Tagovailoa, head coach Mike McDaniel should be able to craft a way to get the ball in Hill's hands quickly. Additionally, Smith is gone, which frees up 111 targets. There is nothing about Hill's physical ability to suggest he is in decline. As such, he should return somewhat to form.
Hill has realistic overall WR1 upside. However, his most likely outcome is in the midrange WR1 area. He is a steal at his current draft price. In the worst case, Hill will end up as a WR2.
Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
Similar to Hubbard, Chase Brown is a player we could all kick ourselves for not realizing what he could be earlier. Brown finished as the RB10 in 2024 despite spending the first six games playing less than 50% of the snaps. He is a lock for the starting running back job in Cincinnati with little competition for touches.
Brown's 65 targets were excellent, and his 11 total touchdowns were exactly what fantasy managers need from an RB1. He was also efficient as both a runner and a receiver.
Brown's volume came in part due to the number of points the Bengals had to score to keep up with their terrible defense. The defense has not improved this offseason, and their most talented defensive player, Trey Hendrickson, remains away from the team as he seeks a new contract.

With a defense poised to allow a lot of points, the Bengals' offense will likely be just as potent as it was in 2024. Brown's passing game volume should be elite, and he should be on the field constantly. Brown's lack of size is a concern, but he profiles as an Austin Ekeler-type player. Ekeler himself was once a perennial overall RB1 candidate.
As a third-round pick in fantasy drafts, Brown could deliver unbelievable value. He is even worth a reach in the late second round if you feel so inclined. After Brown, there is a noticeable drop-off in running back quality.
Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott is the sneakiest player on this list. His range of outcomes is massive, but his draft cost is so low that he is worth the risk.
Prescott seems to be healthy every other year. Last year was an unhealthy season, so does that mean he will remain healthy this season? With all jokes aside, Prescott has finished as the QB2, QB8, and QB3 in three healthy seasons since 2019. In those three seasons, Prescott averaged 4,622 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns.
In the three unhealthy seasons since 2019, Prescott did not play in more than 12 games and never finished higher than QB18 as a result.

2025 brings a lot of change for the Cowboys with Brian Schottenheimer stepping in as head coach. The defense is also likely to be worse, which will put more of a burden on the offense. Prescott received an upgrade at wide receiver with the Cowboys trading for George Pickens this offseason.
With both Pickens and Lamb at his disposal, Prescott could have a huge season due to the passing volume the Cowboys will need to stay in games.
Prescott is objectively a very good quarterback. If he is on the field for most of the season, he will produce in fantasy. Prescott is being drafted as a backend QB1. He has the potential to be much more this season. You can draft him with little risk and high potential for reward.
