Sal Frelick Expects to be Back in Lineup on Friday
Sal Frelick (hamstring) expects to be back in the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Miami Marlins, but he has some tests to pass first, including on-field batting practice on Tuesday, per MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Frelick went on the 10-day injured list after injuring his left hamstring in the final game of the first half of the season, but it sounds like he's raring to go this weekend. As long as he gets through batting practice and a few other tests, he should come off the IL when he's eligible on Friday. The 25-year-old is useful for his speed in fantasy leagues -- he's already one steal shy of tying his career-high -- and he's also hitting a strong .294 (101-for-344) in 93 games in his third season with the Brew Crew. Frelick also has an xBA of .272 and limited power at the dish.
